Business Insider: 9 investors betting millions on the rebound in live events and entertainment

Former CBS executive Eric Kuhn and former Microsoft executive Tre' Scott just founded the company to invest in production companies serving live as well as filmed entertainment. They also have a creative arm, Folk Productions. Their thesis is that production has been neglected by investors, and they see an opportunity to back early-stage companies in areas like costume, sound, and production management that can help make premium content at scale. It hasn't announced any investments yet, but a partnership with Amplify Pictures, a content studio that's getting further into live productions, could be a sign of things to come.
